Hi! We will get started shortly!
Thank you for joining us joining me for navigating your application status page and the things that you can do throughout the web and R if you have any questions, please put them in the chat. I'll be happy to answer them after we're done going over the application status pages I've prepped a couple application status pages as tests for you to look at. Brian Orion is not a real person or a real applicant. He is our test person that we use here in the admissions office. So don't be afraid that we're sharing anything.
From an actual application, can a debt with you with that I have done three different application status page is the first one that we are going to go over is for an incomplete application. So up in the upper right hand corner you will see that there is a little box here that you can.
Drop down and select different applications. If you have applied to more than one program here or if you submitted more than one application, you will see multiple options here. If you have only applied to 1:00 AM.
One type of application, then you won't have a drop down box here, but in case you do have multiple applications, you can toggle between them. It is important to note, especially if you're applying for Graduate School, that when you go to apply for the graduate.
Uh, assistantship and graduate public service internship programs. You want to make sure you're applying on the application that you are really wanting. So if you've withdrawn one and you're pursuing a different program that make sure you apply on the program that you have not withdrawn. So on every application at the top of the page you have the term in the program that you have applied for. You can use a form that we have put here to request a change of term.
Or a deferral if for some reason you would need to change the term that you want to come to you IS. You may do that once an up to a year. You can defer since we have kind of some unusual circumstances at the moment on a case by case basis we will consider other reasons in case you need to differ more than once.
Also, prior to being admitted, you can withdraw your application if you wish to do so. We have the link right here with withdraw application form that you can submit at anytime. The next thing you'll kind of find is a current status on each page, so this one tells you that you are missing documents. Uhm, when you're admitted, then you'll have a slightly different message. Things like that. So this will change depending on your status on the right hand side of your screen.
This will stay static so have questions. Contact your counselor, your counselors information will always be out there for you, um.
So here on Brian Orion Artest person, you have Marla Johnson, she is the assigned counselor and then you have your counselors email address, their phone number and also a tax number so you can text them questions as well and they'll be happy to text back whatever it is you need. We also have Contacts in your academic program here, so the program website their email in their phone number as well. Although that we have a social media stream with social media links so.
There's Twitter feed going on there. The most important items are the items on the left hand side, so in the your checklist items here uhm so you're gonna see a different in a changing checklist depending on where you're at the status so right now since this application is incomplete and missing documents. They just have the checklist of the things that they need to do to complete their application so.
You will see green check marks if we receive the things are red X if we have not received the item that we're waiting for. There are some things that you can upload so and also these checklists or dynamic depending on the program that you have applied for. So this person is applied for the MA in history. They require a writing sample, um, and so that is listed on here as well. Then gave you some information so the writing sample.
Watt we want it to include information about transcripts or down here because for international candidates we require any sees member evaluation. So we list a link to those.
Then blood that we have an upload materials section and so here you can upload materials to us at any time. You'll have a list of the following materials that you did upload. If you have already uploaded some, they need to be a Word document to PDF for a scanned image file. PDF's work the best for uploading things and then below that you can actually choose a file and you're going to tell it what kind of.
Document your uploading. Uhm, we do have people who go through these. We ask you to try to name it appropriately, but if it just does not fit than someone does go through these an look at what people have submitted so you will have you know, uhm, someone kind of double checking what gets uploaded. But we do ask you to please put it in the category that it fits in.
So that is kind of the application status page for an incomplete application.
For the next one, this is an on line candidate. Oh I have to log back in.
So you'll see this login screen. Uhm, whenever you go to log into your application.
There we go. We're back in so Brian Orion on this application. He's applied for a fall 20 BB. A online program.
So he's been admitted so he has a congratulations on your admission up here. He gets his University ID number. We also give him some a few things of next steps, so he needs to complete his intent to enroll for him. He can check out our admitted student website.
He also can schedule a visit. Right now we're doing virtual visits to the campus so you can still schedule those, and then there is a group for admitted undergraduate, so will link that here. You can click here under your decisiones at any point if you need to review your letters for admission. So if we click here, we're going to get Brians letter and then he can return back to his application status page. Your letter will list anything that you have outstanding that we need.
To make you a full admit, if you're a conditional admitt below the your checklist items here that you'll have a new section with forms.
Um, so down here is the form for the intent to enroll. We require all students to complete an intent to enroll that are planning to enroll at uas. So you will have this required form. You may complete it once. After that, you have to email us if there is a change in plans. Now mind, you can still requested deferral at anytime, even if you've told us. Oh, I'm planning to come and then your plans change.
You will still have your application checklist, so these will be the things that are on your admission letter that say that we're still needing prior to being fully admitted. And again, this helpful items for uploading materials Watt kind of documents. We need that sort of thing are on this page so it looks very, very similar.
After you have confirmed your intent to enroll.
Then we have a couple different changes, so again, your change of your term or your deferral is up here. If you your plans with change for some reason.
We also now that we are getting ready for orientations. You'll see different things that pop up here about kickstart. Sign up is open because this is an undergraduate student. They're actually a freshman applicant, and so if you're a transfer graduate application, you'll have something like orientation. Sign up is open.
So you can click here to go to the orientation sign up page. You can also click For more information. Again, we have the congratulations. We lead you to the confirmed student website schedule visit join our group again and then your letters are still here for you to see.
Your checklist will change again under your checklist items. Once you have registered for kick start, there is a charge for attending kickstart. You can either pay that when you sign up. Um, you can let us know you're going to pay it when you sign up. You can pay anytime between the time you sign up and coming to kick start, or you can pay it that day of kickstart online, or you can have it deferred to your file bill. It will actually post here under your checklist items. It will be the first thing that you see.
Once you sign up and it will say payment due and it will have the amount and so you can click on there any point to go ahead and pay it.
You'll have different forms now.
So the most important one most of them are optional, so get involved, hometown newspaper, some things like that, residents life communities form. That tells us if you're interested in a living learning community and then if you live within a certain mile radius of Uas, you might have a residence life exemption form. If you're planning to live at home with your parents, the most important one is this required immunization information because they do charge you at $35.
And so when you get on to that form, basically you're filling out a form. You're acknowledging that you are going to submit your immunizations an you can upload a copy of your immunizations at that point, or they will let you select your going to Mail them or fax them.
Below this you still have your checklist in case there are final things that you need to submit again. If you have final outset. Outstanding items like this student has a final high school transcript with their graduation date that we still need things like that. They're all down here. You can still upload different documents as well, and you can see he has a payment waived. So once you have paid that orientation fee, it would come down here in your recent activities. The other helpful thing is we have a list of helpful links over here on the side now.
So we have links for a campus employment parking. If you're going to waver health insurance because perhaps you're covered by your parents health insurance register for classes. Remote placement testing, scheduling.
Practice a placement tests immature I card photo. You can do that in advance and then to student self service. Student self service is where you will actually see financial aid and you will actually register for your courses and so that gets into our enterprise system.
So those are some of the things that you can do with your application status page.
For the most part, everything that we do up until you're enrolled, we try to do on this application status page. So when we get closer to housing, if you have not submitted an application for housing will be posting some of that information after you sign up for kickstart. Usually that information will go away, but we do try and keep the page relatively fresh and give you all of your next steps on here. In addition, the confirm student website is an excellent place for you to double check things.
On a regular basis for admitted students, there is an admitted student website that has a checklist on it as well, so definitely be checking those. I hope you have a great evening. Thank you for joining me and if you have questions, please feel free to contact our office at any point goodnight.
